How to cancel an online hardware order, reschedule an installation or end an ongoing S2 Tech service.

If you need to cancel before dispatch, contact sales@s2tech.co.za as soon as possible with your order number. We will confirm whether the order has been dispatched, specially procured or prepared for installation.
For qualifying online purchases, ECTA section 44 allows a seven-day cooling-off period after receipt of goods, or seven days after conclusion of a service agreement, without reason or penalty, subject to the statutory exceptions.
Where a transaction qualifies for that right, only the direct return cost may be charged for goods. Any applicable refund will be made within 30 days after cancellation.
Custom-built, personalised or specially configured equipment may fall outside the ECTA change-of-mind cooling-off right. Any cancellation costs outside that statutory right must be reasonable, lawful and made clear before you accept the order.
A supplier delay or shortage does not remove your rights to cancel and receive a refund where the law requires it.
To reschedule or cancel an installation, contact us before the agreed appointment and provide your quotation or job reference. We will explain the stage of the work, equipment already ordered and any lawful, previously disclosed cancellation charges.
Services that have started with your consent may be subject to the statutory ECTA exceptions. Work already supplied and approved changes are addressed according to the quotation and applicable law.
For S2 Tech month-to-month services, the standard cancellation arrangement is one calendar month of written notice, unless your signed agreement or mandatory legislation requires something different.
Fixed-term contracts and statutory cancellation rights are governed by the applicable service agreement and the Consumer Protection Act, including any legally required notice and permissible charges.
Security services remain active according to the contract until the effective cancellation date. We will confirm any equipment return, access credential or final billing arrangements in writing.
