Our policy for returns, defective security equipment, incorrect deliveries and refunds when you shop with S2 Tech Security.

South African consumers retain all rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) and other applicable law. Nothing in this policy restricts those rights.
Where ECTA section 44 applies to your online purchase of goods, you may cancel without giving a reason within seven days after receiving the goods. Only the direct cost of returning the goods may be charged to you under that cooling-off provision.
Certain purchases are excluded from the ECTA cooling-off right, including goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, and qualifying services that started with your consent during the cooling-off period. Exclusions do not remove your rights relating to defective goods.
Where the CPA implied warranty of quality applies, qualifying goods that fail to meet the required standards within six months after delivery may be returned for the statutory repair, replacement or refund remedy, subject to the Act.
Contact us if equipment arrives faulty, damaged in transit, incomplete or different from what was ordered. We will review the order and arrange the legally appropriate collection, repair, replacement or refund.
Manufacturer warranties may provide additional cover, but do not replace your statutory rights.
Email sales@s2tech.co.za with your order number, the product concerned, the reason for your request and a contact number. If you have photographs of damage or a product fault, you may include them to help us resolve your request.
Please contact us before sending equipment back so we can provide safe handling and return instructions. Do not send goods to our office without arranging the return.
Where an ECTA cooling-off cancellation applies, we will refund the payment within 30 days after cancellation as required by the Act. Refunds for other statutory returns will be processed in accordance with the applicable legal time limits.
Approved refunds will normally be made through the original payment channel when supported by the payment provider. Alternative verified banking arrangements may be needed where the original channel cannot receive a refund.
Bank and payment-provider processing may affect when refunded funds appear in your account. We will not treat payment-provider processing delays as a reason to disregard statutory refund deadlines.
No blanket restocking charge or supplier policy overrides a consumer right created by law.
Equipment ordered or manufactured specifically for your installation, and goods already permanently installed or altered, can have different change-of-mind return rules under applicable law. We will explain any lawful restrictions before your order is confirmed.
A custom order or installation does not remove applicable rights regarding defective goods or services.
